Voice Area - Voice Faculty Biography

Dominika Zamara was born on 11 Aug 1981 in Wroclaw (Poland). She began to play piano being 7 years in the class of Professor Elizabeth Maciukiewicz, but passion to sing was always first love of Dominika. When she was a child she performed as a soloist religious songs during church messes. She recorded for Polish Radio many different songs.Her professional singing classes started in Secondary Richard Bukowski School in Wroclaw.She was in the Professor Hanna Celejewski Class and singer graduated “suma cum laude” this school. At the same time she took part in many concerts, festivals, music courses and competitions receiving numerous honors and awards.During her activities artist worked as a soloist with many prominent and famous opera singers and musicians from Poland and other countries performing opera, operetta and musica da camera repertoire. She appeared in many prestigious theaters and concert hallssuch as: Polish Theatre, Oratorio Marianum, Aula Leopoldinum, Chopin's Manor in Duszniki-Zdroj.She participated in numerous projects which were synthesis of such genres as: rock-opera, painting, theater, and dance. She often collaborated with well-known polish artist-plastic Witold Liszkowski.She worked with Polish Television during the Diamond of the Year Event (Lower Silesian Brilliant of The Year) as well.In 2004 she received the leading role in the play Sweeney Agonastis at the Jerzy Grotowski Theatre in Wroclaw.In 2005 she received a scholarship from the Italian Government. Artist used it to learn one year in Italian Conservatorio in Verona.In 2007 she finished study and became Master of Fine Arts and received “Suma Cum Laude” diploma on the Music Academy in Wroclaw. Her promoter was Professor Barbara Ewa Werner.She participated in different master classes with the greatest Italian singers to improve vocal technique.At present she has lived and performed in Italy. She has still cooperated with many Artistic Agencies giving concerts throughout Europe.In 2008 she was on the tour in France during the Sacred Music Festival with well-known organist Fabrice Pitroise. In 2008 she sang at the National Theatre in Montenegro in the presence of president this country.In 2009 she performed in Germany, Poland, Italy, Great Britain and Switzerland.In 2010 she singed in Italy for the Vatican in Roma and Las Palmas , in Vienna (Austria) during Polonia Academy Awards, in France.In 2011 she performed the leading part Mimi in opera “La Boheme “ in Padova, she debuted in Los Angeles (Warner Grand Theater, together with famous actress Maria Newman and actor Chris Allport). She sang in Hollywood and Malibu as well, she acted on the Mozart Festival in Salzburg, In this year artist also acted in France again with the famous organist Fabrice Pitroise. She participated in international festivals e.g. as the guest on the Stradivari Festival in Esin and Pisogne, she sang in Lodz Cathedral. Dominika debuted at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza performing the world premiere of Coronaro Tramonto opera. She sangon the Cinema Festival T-Mobile in Wroclaw together with famous composer Lucjan Wesolowski. She sang “Glorie” as a soloist under the baton of Maestro Paolo Fumei and “Laudate Pueri” of Vivaldi.In 2011 she recorded and released 1st album "Dream" where were included arias from italian opera.At present Dominika starts to record her second album together with famous italian pianist Alessandro Vena. She collaborates with EDIT MUSIC ITALY as artist and artistic director for classical music.In 2012 she will perform Zanetto Mascagni's opera in Vicenza and Padova, she has still colaborated with Laudate Pueri Certosa Orchestra, she is often invitated to visit and give the concerts in Mexico, the United States, Italy, Poland, Ukraine and France.In June 2012 Dominika will sing during International Festival in Arkansas with symphony orchestra and famous conductor Thomas Chun-yu Chen and she will sing in New York.In August 2012 she will be guest of well-known polish TV program ,,Dzien Dobry TVN’’.She has the associate professor degree in the Certosa - Italian Academy of Music.She sings using Italian, Polish, German, English, French, Latin, Russian and Czech languages.Her repertoire includes: opera, sacred music, operettas, songs and chamber music.
