Dallas Antonio Stradivari International Violin Makers' Conference  (DASIVC)

Dallas Antonio Stradivari International Violin Maker' Conference (DASIVC) is designed for violin makers, performers, students, teachers, and people who are interested in performance and making stringed instruments to share ideas and learn from one another. Throughout the conference, there are classes for instrument maintenance and repair workshops, lectures/presentation, and a violin making competition. During the whole week there will be evening concerts for participants to attend. Participants can also sign up to participate in the instruments exhibition where they can meet all the music festival performers, students and teachers. This is also open to the public. The competition is open to all violin makers; the competition is divided into different categories - violin, viola, cello, and string quartet.​

 


(DASIVC) collaborates with CICA Summer Music Festival, Participants are welcome to attend the concerto competition and concerts. We encourage participants to observe music festival orchestra and chamber music rehearsals, master classes and instrumental lessons.
(DASIVC) provides courses and opportunities for the violin makers to learn instrument performance-sounding and skills methods that will help the violin makers to understand the requirements for the wonderful concert instruments. And this will also help the violin makers to gain more ideas of making wonderful instruments.

 

The conference welcomes different methods of violin making to be presented during the conference. (DASIVC)’s mission is set to help instrument making researches and developments. (DASIVC) combines music performance skills, music education developments, and instruments making developments into one fine educational
